Water Supply Division (BBA) is a technical agency under the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water (KeTTHA). BBA was formerly known as Water Supply Branch (WSB), Public Works Department, Ministry of Works Malaysia. In 2004, due to Malaysian Cabinets reshuffling, WSB was placed under Ministry of Energy, Water and Communications (KTAK). IGRSM, formerly known as Malaysian Remote Sensing Society (MRSS), was formed in July, 1995. Its overall objective is to support and facilitate development of geospatial and remote sensing technologies in the country. Since its formation, IGRSM has embarked in several activities aimed towards further promoting the use of the technology, strengthening government-private sector interaction, encouraging more publications of R&D results and keeping members duly informed of geospatial and remote sensing activities within and outside the country.

NAMRIA is mandated to provide the public with mapmaking services and to act as the central mapping agency, depository, and distribution facility for natural resources data in the form of maps, charts, texts, and statistics.
NAMRIA's vision is to become a center of excellence, building a geospatially-empowered Philippines by 2020. Its mission is to provide accurate, timely and accessible topographic maps, nautical charts and other geospatial products and services.

In order to enhance the utilization in remote sensing and GIS, Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (Public Organization) : GISTDA was established on November 3, 2000 as a public organization which assumes all responsibilities and activities for space technology and geo-informatics applications. The THailand Earth Observation Satellite (THEOS) is the first operational earth observation satellite of Thailand. The THEOS program was developed by GISTDA, EADS Astrium, the prime contractor, initiated work on the satellite in 2004.
On October 1, 2008, THEOS was successfully launched by Dnepr launcher from Yasny, Russian Federation. Today, GISTDA is developing a worldwide network of distributors to allow the users to use and access to all GISTDA products.

The National Space Agency, Malaysia (ANGKASA) is an agency under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation Malaysia. It is mandated to develop the country's potential in the space sector to support the development of the new economy, generate knowledge and strengthen the national security infrastructure.
