Bio
Chris Gibson currently serves as vice president responsible for Trimble’s Geospatial businesses which include the following markets Survey & Engineering, Geographic Information System (GIS), Infrastructure, Rail, Land Administration and Environmental Solutions along with a number of regional responsibilities. Mr. Gibson joined Trimble in 1998 as European finance and operations director and has served in multiple roles over the past 15 years. Mr. Gibson received a BA in Business Studies in 1985 from Thames Polytechnic, now the University of Greenwich, and was admitted as a Fellow to the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in 1994.

Abstract
How Geospatial Solutions Help Solve Global Challenges
The challenges facing the world today are numerous. Geospatial information is playing an ever more important role in helping both governments and the private industry manage some of these challenges; some key areas are land administration projects, agricultural requirements, utility distribution, infrastructure development and environmental impacts. Chris Gibson will present an overview of how geospatial information is being used to help overcome some of these challenges, providing examples of projects from around the world and the benefits that have been derived from utilizing geospatial information.

Do Tae Ho is the Deputy Minister for Housing and Land in Ministry of land Infrastructure and Transport, Republic of Korea since April 2013. Prior to that, he has served the Ministry in various capacity, including Director General for Public Institutions Relocation Office, Director General for Road Policy, Director General for Construction Policy, and Director General for Housing Policy.
