APSPI

Association of Indonesian Survey and Mapping Enterprises (APSPI) was established in Jakarta on December 29 , 1977. Til date, members of this Association consist of 79 Companies (and several additional companies are being evaluated to be accepted as new member). The Companies are mostly in DKI Jakarta Province and West Java Province. Member of APSPI provides services in relation with survey/mapping for Geospatial Information as required for many development activities in Indonesia. Manpower under APSPI’s members are mostly from Geodesy, Geomatics and Geographic background amounting to over 4000 people. The member companies also own various survey and mapping equipments such as airplane and aerial camera for aerial photography, stereo plotter, digitizer, total station, EDM, theodolite, echo sounder, imagery and photogrammetry processing software and many others. APSPI operates in two offices, each in Jakarta and Bandung.

Founded in 1969 BAKOSURTANAL is the Indonesian National Coordination Agency for Survey and Mapping implementing the task of Survey and Mapping to provide a reliable spatial data infrastructure as a base of existing natural resources and environmental information for development. BAKOSURTANAL is the Government institution that formulates the macro and national level policies governing survey and mapping in Indonesia. Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA)

Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA) was officially established on November 2, 2000 as a public organization under the supervision of the Minister of Science and Technology of Thailand. Being a one-stop service provider. GISTDA has been playing a significant role in direct reception of the earth observation satellite data from LANDSAT-5, TERRA-AQUA, TERRA-MODIS, RADARSAT-1, RADARSAT-2 and METSAT, data archiving, processing, image analysis and provision of satellite data and GIS services to users worldwide. GISTDA is also a reseller of very high resolution satellite data, such as IKONOS, GeoEye-1, QuickBird and Worldview-1 to serve domestic users from both public and private sectors. THEOS, Thailand Earth Observation Satellite is fully operated by GISTDA.
