Download Concept Note Here

Agriculture is the most important enterprise and world’s largest industry. It plays a crucial role in meeting the basic needs of all human beings. Agricultural productivity is mainly dependent on climate, droughts, floods, extreme temperatures, shifting rain patterns and urbanization. The geospatial set of tools and techniques effectively contribute to combat major challenges and problems in current agricultural scenarios, also exploring the opportunities of new applications, systems, processes and models to meet the needs of the ever increasing demand of food supply and productivity.Co-hosted by Ministry of Agriculture, Indonesia, this One full day forum will be the best platform to understand the current geospatial domain’s path to agriculture stakeholders, to exchange ideas, skills and knowledge and to bring together decision makers to highlight and address those challenges, opportunities and solutions for this important industry.

GeoAgri solutions in reducing the impacts.
Geospatial technology is sure to become more increasingly important for agriculture industry. This session would have presentations from industry players focussing on geospatial solutions in reducing the impact of climate change and natural hazards on agriculture and food crops and plantation mapping, surveying and yield estimation, and also would discuss issues related to food security and natural resources management.

Technology for Smallholders.
This session will highlight technology innovations and solutions like precision farming techniques, LiDAR, UAVs, GNSS, and laser scanning for smallholders farming.

GeoAgri and Policies.
There are many factors which affectagricultural policies and schemes in this region. Inadequate data records, ineffective land system management would be among factors to be discussed by the decision makers to deliberate upon sustainable contribution of geospatial intelligence.
